Peruvian Aesthetic

Classic Peruvian looks and colors are known for their vibrant and bold aesthetics. Here are some ideas to help you get inspired:

Traditional Textiles: Peruvian textiles are renowned for their intricate weavings and vibrant patterns. Look for clothing or accessories with colorful geometric designs or traditional motifs, such as llamas, Incan symbols, or Andean landscapes.

Ponchos and Ruana: Ponchos and ruanas are common garments in Peruvian fashion. They are typically made from wool or alpaca fibers and are known for their warmth and comfort. Look for ponchos or ruanas in earthy tones like rich browns, warm oranges, deep reds, or cobalt blues. My big purchase of a Peruvian Poncho is now hanging on display in the front entrance of the restaurant now because it’s just of the softest alpaca and it’s a stunning textile.

Andean Hats: The traditional Andean hat, known as a chullo, is a distinctive accessory in Peruvian fashion. Look for chullos with bold patterns and bright colors like red, green, yellow, or blue. These hats often feature earflaps and tassels. Lisa hand picked up spectacular Peruvian hat for me with a beautiful, handmade band and tassels, it’s been a joy to wear.

Embroidery and Appliqué: Peruvian textiles often feature beautiful embroidery and appliqué work. Look for clothing or accessories with meticulously handcrafted embroidery or appliqué details in vibrant colors, including bright pinks, purples, and greens.

Colors of Nature:

Take inspiration from Peru's stunning natural landscapes. Look for clothing or accessories in colors that reflect the country's diverse ecosystem, such as vibrant greens for the Amazon rainforest, blues and turquoises for the coast, or vibrant oranges and reds for the Andean highlands.
