Our daily lifestyle revolves around an approximate 4:30 AM sunrise down here …

Taking note of the breathtaking mountains, out our window and listening to the splendid birds . as we wake we enjoy hot tea in the morning and some light stretching and yoga. The air is cool and crisp so we build a fire in the woodstove., a particular daily ritual and pleasure of us chefs. we think about making a breakfast usually of oats, some herbs, dried fruits, and nuts, with fresh banana and apple, and a drizzle of honey.

After breakfast and some peaceful meditation, we venture outside to see and smell the air and take a walk. Our walks are often routine in and around the property where we stay as sometimes in the rural areas we stick to our planned path as to not come across any other semi wild dogs that might impede our journey. Our daytime hikes are main form of physical activity not too strenuous but we do try to maintain our 15,000 steps plus a day.

Another activity we enjoy is every few days we go into the nearest village and we are purchasing the freshened ingredients from local vendors, and we gather our goods and take home to cook. Whenever we’re in the nearest village, we are sampling some of the local foods so we can get an idea of the sauces and special condiments made from additional local ingredients which is super inspiring. This also involves speaking with locals to get a better understanding of technique and recipes.

Slow-paced living: Peruvians value quality time spent with friends and family. They embrace a slower pace of living, allowing themselves to fully enjoy the present moment and cultivate deeper connections with their loved ones.

Art and craftsmanship: Peru is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and rich artistic heritage. Traditional arts and crafts, such as pottery, weaving, and woodwork, allow the Peruvian people to embrace their creativity and create meaningful connections with their cultural roots.
